The director of Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz’s representative office in the Kyrgyz Republic, Grigori Parshakov, has held negotiations with the newly appointed General Manager of Kyrgyzgaz, Turgunbek Kulmurzayev, and the Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzneftegaz, Kanybek Macirov.
During the negotiations, issues regarding the possibilities for collaboration in the oil-and-gas sector were discussed. In addition, the Geological Exploration Programme in Gazprom’s licenced fields on Kyrgyz Republic territory was brought to the attention of Kyrgyzneftegaz’s new management.
The events that have taken place in the Republic since April 2010 have complicated the implementation of the geological exploration work and, in accordance with the Kyrgyz Republic’s Law Concerning the Subsoil, were classified as force majeure circumstances.
Nonetheless, following the meeting, all the participants expressed the hope for swift political and economic stability in Kyrgyzstan, and also confirmed the agreement reached earlier concerning close collaboration between the agencies and Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz’s representation in the Republic in solving staff issues and rendering practical help, assistance and support
