Gazprom International Training (GIT) has held a one-day course on trading rules at international exchange platforms for the Gazprom Group specialists involved in gas sales at energy markets.
About thirty representatives from Gazprom, Gazprom Export, Gazprom Neft, Gazprom Marketing and Trading, and Gazprom Germania attended the GIT course held in the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. The workshop was organized in partnership with Entrima, a company focusing on commodity & energy training for professionals, and Jerry de Leeuw, the company's head, ran the workshop.
The participants attended the course on marketplace trading and master classes. The practical part of the course was related to modeling trading operations, such as proprietary trading and asset-backing, speculating in the oil market, securing futures financial flows of the refinery, securing gas storage revenues, and hedging risks.
“This was our first time working together with Entrima and the stock exchange. It has proven the efficiency of the course and the appeal among professionals towards such training. We intend to develop this area of training, and at the moment we are discussing more profound specialized programs for the Gazprom Group traders,” said Rob Veersma, Training and Development Director at GIT.
Jerry Leeuw provided a tour of the building with a visit to the history museum of the stock exchange. The Amsterdam Stock Exchange honored the guests from Gazprom - the workshop participants struck the gong marking the end of the trading day.
