A delegation of Oil and Gas Corporation Petrovietnam, one of the Gazprom's largest partners in the Asian region, has completed a Scientific and Technical Training at the facilities of the Russian Gas Concern as part of the Agreement on Personnel Training Cooperation from 30 July 2017 to 12 August 2017.
The training program included acquaintance with the activities of Gazprom, Gazprom VNIIGAZ (the largest Science and Technology Center of Gazprom), Gazpromviet (a joint Russian-Vietnamese company), Gazprom energoholding and Gazprom UGS. The delegation visited several facilities of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar in Krasnodar. In Moscow Gazprom International’s specialists shared with the Vietnamese colleagues their experience in exploration and described data acquisition, evaluation and further processing methods.
Rich cultural program was planned for the foreign specialists as part of the training. The Vietnamese delegation visited the territory and museums of the Moscow Kremlin. The partners were introduced to the history of the region and the authentic culture of the Cossacks in the Ataman ethnic village in Krasnodar Krai.
As a result of the visit, Petrovietnam representatives highly appreciated the level of technological equipment of the Gazprom’s facilities and professional qualifications of the personnel. The guests thanked Russian colleagues for the training and expressed hope for further cooperation in the field of personnel training and education.

In partnership with Petrovietnam, Gazprom International carries out exploration activities within Blocks 112, 129-132 and Blocks 05-2 and 05-3, located on the continental shelf of Vietnam. In addition, the company is a part of PVGAZPROM Natural Gas for Vehicles (a joint Vietnamese-Russian project on the NGV fuel production).
In 2009, Gazprom and Petrovietnam entered into an Agreement on Strategic Partnership envisaging, inter alia, the companies’ cooperation in oil and gas projects in Russia, Vietnam and third countries.
In 2012, Gazprom and Petrovietnam signed an Agreement on Personnel Training Cooperation. Annually, Petrovietnam specialists study under the Master’s program and Postgraduate program in Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Also, mutual trainings are organized at the companies’ facilities.
