On 29 May, the Moscow office of Gazprom EP International held the presentation of the book “To the wealth of the Yellow Dragon” devoted to the cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (previously – the USSR) in the oil and gas sector. It took the authors, Vladimir Vovk, Vladimir Osmanov and Yuriy Yevdoshenko, more than 5 years to collect the materials and create the original content. The book is available in both Vietnamese and Russian.
Vladimir Vovk, the inspirational leader of the team of authors, had devoted many years to his work at the Gazprom Group. He told the guests about the unique experience acquired by the international team of Russian and Vietnamese specialists during the decades of their joint work and noted the highest degree of professionalism enjoyed by his colleagues who had participated in creating and developing the foundation to raise Vietnam’s energy industry to a new level.
The event was attended by oil and gas veterans who had made a substantial contribution to the establishment of oil and gas industry of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
“I would like to say that I deeply respect all of the people who are here today, specialists who devoted 20 to 30 years to the Vietnamese projects. It is they, it is their discoveries and achievements, that made it possible to create this book. Special thanks are owed to our Vietnamese colleagues who spent weeks in the archives searching for the needed materials and rare photos,” Vladimir Vovk said.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere: the attendees talked about all the best highlights of their work and shared the impressions of the progress they had made, which is now written into history in every sense of the word.
