Joint operating company (JOC) Vietgazprom has introduced an integrated management system for health, occupational safety, the environment, and quality that is recognized as compliant with the requirements of international standards ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, and ISO 9001:2015.
Certificates on audit completion were issued to JOC specialists on 2 March 2018.
Certification was performed in late 2017 by one of the oldest certification companies – Bureau Veritas. Such indicators as the efficiency of the business processes established in Vietgazprom and the degree of staff involvement in controlling and improving the quality of operating activities were assessed.
Vietgazprom became the first company in the Gazprom International Group to receive a certificate for compliance with ISO and OHSAS international standards.
"During the external audit, Vietgazprom personnel demonstrated a creative, integrated approach in building management systems in the fields of health, occupational safety, the environment, and quality, which, in our opinion, is the basis for compliance with the requirements of international standards in current conditions. In this regard, the company enjoys huge potential," said Tran Viet Hoang, lead auditor of Bureau Veritas Certification Vietnam.
"The certification of Vietgazprom is the result of complex, painstaking work to create management systems and integrate them. This demonstrates the organization of occupational safety and health of workers, a considerate attitude toward the environment, and the desire to guarantee the quality and reliability of oil and gas exploration. For us, this is a new stage in the company's development in managing oil and gas operations abroad," said Sergey Mykhaylenko, General Director of Vietgazprom.
The integrated system covers business processes related to oil and gas exploration.
In the future, plans are to supplement it with other activities provided for by oil and gas contracts.
